What Kids Will Create at STITCHED
Campers will dive into a full range of exciting projects, learning how to:
● Create inspiration boards and color stories
● Draw fashion illustrations
● Hand- and machine-sew original garments
● Embellish designs with personal flair
● Build a 4-look illustrated collection
● Construct 1-2 wearable pieces like tops, skirts, dresses, or shorts.
By the end of the week, campers showcase their creations in a family-friendly fashion show - a true highlight of the summer sewing camp experience.
Designed for All Skill Levels
Whether your child is new to sewing or already a budding designer, STITCHED meets them where they are. Campers learn at their own pace, guided by the talented Rob Younkers and Lissa Ziranek. No sewing experience? No problem. Advanced skills? Let’s level them up.
More Than Sewing: A Full Fashion Journey
STITCHED goes far beyond the sewing machine. Campers explore the fashion industry from design to merchandising and styling. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring a clothing collection to life - and kids love being part of every step.
About Rob Younkers: The Designer Behind STITCHED
Rob Younkers is more than a teacher - he’s a fashion powerhouse. A former professor at Parsons and a designer for names like Dolce & Gabbana and Patricia Field, Rob brings deep industry experience and a passion for mentoring the next generation. He created STITCHED to give young creatives an unforgettable introduction to fashion that’s fun, inclusive, and confidence-building.
A Week of Connection and Creativity
STITCHED is about more than just making clothes. It’s about making friends, learning new skills, and being part of a creative, inclusive community. Campers bring their own brown-bag lunch and enjoy group meals, collaborative work sessions, and lots of encouragement. Every day is packed with discovery - and yes, sometimes a little (fabric) mess!
What’s Included in the Camp
Everything your child needs is provided: sewing machines, fabric, tools, and all the creative supplies. The only thing they need to bring is their imagination - and maybe some comfy clothes they don’t mind getting crafty in. Optional: shop for custom fabric if they want to personalize their projects even more.
