Can't believe I made a pair of pants!!!

I have taken several workshops at Moving Thread, including the Intro to Sewing and most recently the Pant Making workshop. Lissa is a wonderful teacher, she explains the process in a way that is so easy to grasp. Her knowledge and terminology of garment making is really incredible, although I can't remember the correct names of stitches or seams... which simply means I'll have to take more classes!

Her new sewing studio is beautifully outfitting with high quality pattern tables, sewing machines, and lots of inspiring pieces of clothing to look at. Lissa has made such a lovely place to gather and work together, I really love the group atmosphere. I will definitely be making more time in my life to sew and learn more from her!

Thank you Lissa for being such a great teacher!

Lissa is a STAR sewing teach!!

I’ve sewn before, but I wanted to take a sewing class or two just because I couldn’t figure out how to get my new machine I purchased during the pandemic threaded lol. I found Lissa’s class after doing some research and asking a friend of a friend who took it before.

I could not have asked for a better experience.

Lissa’s groups are small and intimate so you get a ton of 1-on-1 attention. She had us make a bag the first class, and then a pair of pants after two more classes. I learned a lot more doing it hands-on than from watching youtube videos.

Lissa is extremely pleasant and could teach a monkey how to sew haha. She is extremely informative, patient, and honestly the best guide I could have asked for to brush up my sewing skills.

I will be taking more classes in the future!!! 12/10
