Warm and inviting

I decided to start learning how to sew a few years ago and took my first class at Moving Thread. Since then I've taken two additional classes and I'm so grateful for the foundation of skills I've gained. I think I've taken classes with all the instructors there at this point and they are all truly wonderful. The space is very warm and inviting, and I wish I could just go hang out there and sew every day! Highly recommend for those just dipping their toes in to maybe those who want to refine their skills.

a skill everyone should learn

I had the most amazing, inspiring, enjoyable, and motivated time participating in the Moving Thread classes. I first took the intro to sewing class taught by Rosie Ponizil, who is a fantastic and patient instructor. I have never sewn or touched a sewing machine in my life and walked away with a super cute tote bag. The class taught the very basic skills from threading the machine, the mechanics of the machine, learning the basic stitch, plus so much more . I was so wowed by the class I took the 4 week beginner series workshop, taught by Lissa an absolute amazing, thorough, patient instructor who delves deep into instruction. I plan to take a few more classes to build on the learning experience. I highly recommend taking these classes especially if you’re a total beginner. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience this has been and what a great business/service this is especially now in an online world where face to face interaction is becoming a lost art. The in-person experience is invaluable! Thank you Lissa for providing your service, a skill everyone should learn.
