By the end, you’ll have your very own masterpiece, which can be displayed as a wall hanging, used as a charming front door quilt, or transformed into a beautiful pillow.
What You’ll Learn:
How to measure and cut fabric the quilter’s way for precision and accuracy
An introduction to essential quilters’ tools and equipment
Understanding different types of ombrés, including hue, value, and tone
How to use color and composition for originality and flair
Techniques for piecing curves and waves to add visual interest
How to quilt, bind, or back your finished piece depending on your final goal
This class is perfect for the intermediate beginner — someone who already has basic sewing machine skills and some quilting familiarity. While prior hand sewing experience is helpful, it’s not required.

Duration: 8 hours total – split into two 4-hour sessions
Materials: All fabrics, batting, and tools provided
Equipment: Sewing machines and quilting tools provided in-studio
Refreshments: Light snacks will be available during class
Class Structure:
Session 1: Piece your quilt top in its entirety using improv techniques
Session 2: Quilt your piece and finish with binding or backing, depending on your intended use
You must be comfortable operating a domestic sewing machine to participate. By the end of the workshop, you’ll not only have a completed quilt but also the confidence and inspiration to try new quilting projects on your own.
