Finishing School for Quilters

Many quilting projects begin with energy and intention - blocks are made, ideas take shape, and then the questions start. How do the pieces come together? What comes next? How does it all finish?

Finishing School for Quilters is a four-session class designed to support this important stage of the quilting process. It offers dedicated time, thoughtful guidance, and practical expertise to help you move unfinished work forward with clarity and confidence.

Students may focus on a variety of goals: transitioning from blocks to a finished piece, exploring layout and border options, adding additional blocks from previous workshops such as Block Party, or learning professional finishing techniques including binding and quilt facing. Projects may evolve into table runners, wall hangings, or completed quilts, depending on your direction.

The emphasis is on refinement, decision-making, and completion - all within a supportive studio environment.

Skill Level: Students who have taken quilting workshops at Moving Thread

Duration: 4 sessions, 4 hours each

What to Bring: Any quilt project you’ve worked on that you’d like support finishing or moving forward
