This class is an introduction to Sashiko embroidery where you will learn the fundamental stitch techniques while creating beautiful, purposeful set of two dish towels. One will be straight rows with tassel finishes and the other will be embroidered circles. You will learn how to measure and draw on your embroidery pattern first and then fill them in with your Sashiko stitches.
Threads, needles, circle templates, and dish towels will be provided. Bring your own thimbles if you wish to use them.
In case we have time, feel free to bring any projects you want to implement Sashiko embroidery on such as mending jeans with holes or a t-shirt to embellish.
