NEW WORKSHOP: The Summer Top with Rose Ponizil

13347 W. Washington Blvd 90066

The Summer Top with Rose Ponizil

Patchwork isn't just for quilts- you can incorporate it into clothing as well!

While most of our workshops focus primarily on developing your sewing skills, this one is also a great opportunity to let your imagination run wild and experiment with color and shapes through improvisational patchwork. Improv patchwork is a method for piecing fabrics together without using any sort of template, instead you get to let your intuition lead the way!

This top is also reversible, making it incredibly versatile. Top features an open back with adjustable straps. While originally coined "The Summer Top" by designer and workshop teacher, Rose Ponizil, this top also looks adorable layered and can be worn year around.

This class is perfect for the intermediate beginner who already has basic experience and competency with a sewing machine.

You will learn skills like:
- How to create reversible clothing
- Patchwork piecing techniques to streamline your projects
- How to sew darts
- How to make straps
- How to make patchwork checkers (the faster way)

Please provide us with your standard size (XS-XL, etc). All materials will be provided, including strap options, various colored cotton for piecing patchwork and taupe linen for reverse. Approximately 7 hours.
