Quilted Pouches with Beth Wood of Sew DIY

In this class, we’ll teach you the basics of piecing and quilting, while making quilted pouches. These envelope style pouches are a great introductory quilting project that can be adapted to hold a variety of things, from tablets and e-readers to sunglasses, books and art supplies.

During the class, we’ll teach you how to piece (stitch together) and press your fabric, how to make a quilt sandwich, how to quilt the layers together and finish it with bias binding. You’ll leave class with the confidence to start piecing and quilting on your own as well as a useful, quilted pouch that you made yourself.
