Quilted Table Runner with Dona McKenzie

This listing shows SOLD OUT but you may book via  QUILTERS CHOICE.

If you've been drawn to the world of quilting but didn't know how to begin, this is the class for you! In this class, we will construct a gorgeous, ombre table runner from Jennifer Sampou's Sky fabric collection. This beautiful piece is sure to dress up your table setting for years to come!

We will cover the basics of measuring and cutting fabric the quilters' way and discuss quilters' tools and essentials. You will learn about different types of ombres, hue, value and tone. Then you will layout and design your own runner from a selection of fabrics, and learn to piece like an expert quilter.

Choose from 3 potential pallettes: Dawn, Ocean or Fog (see images for reference and please add your preference in the notes).

This class is perfect for the intermediate beginner who already has the basic experience and competency with a sewing machine. Some experience with hand sewing is ideal, but not necessary.

Our second class will include instruction on quilting your runner on a domestic machine and finishing your piece with a beautiful ombre binding.

All materials included. Sewing machines and all equipment will be provided. Masks optional. This is an 11-hour workshop, two sessions of 5,5 hours each with a 30 minutes break.

You must be comfortable working on a domestic sewing machine for this class. Join us to complete your own masterpiece!

Studio address will be included in your confirmation email upon receipt of your purchase. By signing up for this workshop, you are agreeing to our Booking and Cancellation Policy.
