Have you always wanted to make your own bra and panties? Now is your time!
In this two-part workshop (four hours each) we will ease you into working with knits by starting off with a cheeky style or full coverage, mid-rise panty. You will become familiar with sewing with stretch fabrics and attaching lingerie elastic. In Part II we will make a matching, wireless bra lined in mesh, with a hook and eye closure on the front.
Organic Cotton/soy fabric will be provided for both projects and the result is an incredibly soft and comfortable undergarment set.
What you will learn:
-How to attach lingerie elastic
-How to attach fold over hook and eye tape
-How to create clean, finished seams with knit fabric
This class is perfect for the advanced beginner who already has basic experience and competency with a sewing machine. Experience working with knits, attaching elastic and using a serger is not required. The majority of sewing will be done on a single needle sewing machine, you will also use a serger for one step.
Please provide us with your panty size (S, M, L, XL, etc) when booking (add to the notes on your order). We will determine your bust size for the bra in the first gathering.
